2011

  • Emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere by JSC TGC-1 in 2011 decreased compared to the previous year to 3,742.04 tonnes (8.7%) due mainly to increased consumption by the Apatitskaya CHPP of the Kolsky branch of coal with a lower sulphur content from the Kuznetsk and Vorkutinskogo basins, and as a result, a reduction in emissions of sulphur dioxide.
  • Compared with previous years, the amount of water decreased as a result of the commissioning of a reverse technical water supply system – two blocks of PGU-180s at the Pervomaiskaya CHPP.
  • In 2011, in all subdivisions of the Nevsky branch an environmental management system (EMS) was implemented. On December 19, 2011, all structural divisions of Nevsky received TGC-1 EMS certificates of conformity for meeting the requirements of the international ISO 14001: 2004 standard.
  • In 2012, it is planned to expand EMS certification to the Kolsky branch.
