JSC TGC-1 revives sports traditions

23 January 2014 opened rink which 30 years later was again created in Gubernatorsky Park in Petrozavodsk. The idea of revival of the rink has implemented JSC TGC-1.

It is symbolic that the first went out on the ice Karelian skater Anastasiya Semenova. Next week she will defend the honor of the Republic in the qualifying competitions on Championship of Russia.

- This is not the first social project TGC-1 implements in the city. We pay special attention to sport, - said Director of the Karelian branch of TGC-1 Valery Belov. – Near the stadium Spartak we have erected a volleyball platform and it is very popular. Here is our new gift to the townspeople.

The official part of the event ended with a fiery show and performance of synchronized skating team. Then the people of Petrozavodsk came on ice.

- Opening of skating rink is important not only in Petrozavodsk, but also in the whole country. TGC-1 revives the athletic traditions of the park, - said Deputy sports Minister on Affairs of youth, physical training and sports Maksim Antipov. - I hope that new skating rink will also contribute to the rebirth of our figure skating and speed skating.
