05 May 2014

On May 1 and 4, JSC TGC-1 experts and engineers told young Petersburgers and their parents about the benefits of energy efficiency and resource conservation.

The ‘Living Energy’ workshops were staged as a relay stage of the energy marathon, which took place on April 30 at the venue for the International Children’s Design, Fine and Applied Art Competition, ‘The Room of My Dreams’.

The artist and art director of the ‘4 Etazh’ Art Studio, Vladimir Snyatkov and designer and illustrator Rostislav Osipov, took two art workshops. Parents weren’t excluded either. As a result, over 30 original works were included in ‘The Room of My Dreams’ exhibition. At the TGC-1 stand, film screenings about energy and power were organised, so visitors learned a lot of new things about the history of electricity, power plant operation and alternative energy.

– Creativity is one of the most effective ways of explaining complex issues to children. Energy efficiency is currently a hot topic, which needs to be explained to the younger generation so that we instill in them the culture of resource conservation, – said Marina Lebedeva, the organiser of the International Children’s Design, Fine and Applied Art Competition ‘The Room of My Dreams’. – TGC-1 succeeded in explaining to the children about energy in a fun and original way, using intriguing games, colourful puzzles and films from the ‘How does this work?’
