JSC TGC-1 and the Company PhosAgro confirmed the decision on joint activities for water purification in the Apatitsko-Kirovsky District

In connection with the emerged comments JSC TGC-1 and JSC PhosAgro inform that they are continuously involved in the modernization of the heat supply system and improvement of the quality of water supply to the cities of Kirovsk and Apatity of the Murmansk Oblast.

In September 2013, the new transit pipeline, connecting consumers of Kirovsk with the coal-powered Apatitskaya CHPP of JSC TGC-1, was put into operation. The 19-kilometer heating main allowed to close the fuel oil boiler facilities of JSC Apatit, who supplied heat to the citizens of Kirovsk.

Based on the results of the heating season of 2013-2014, the new heating scheme has proven to be reliable and efficient. The transit pipeline is currently being prepared for the new heating season: step by step full flushing of the mainline and local transit pipelines, hydraulic testing and daily monitoring of the quality of water is being performed.

At the same time in order to explore the causes of the water acquiring a smell and ways of their elimination JSC TGC-1 and the Company PhosAgro cooperate with the Scientific Centres of the Russian Academy of Science, located in the Murmansk Oblast.

The ongoing activities will improve the quality of heat and water supply to settlements of Apatitsko-Kirovsky District.
