18 August 2014

JSC TGC-1 announces the start of creative animation and graphics contest. The key topic is energy and energy efficient use.

The contest owns its name (Turn On Your Brain) to the drawing of Kristina Ivanova, who won the contest Say No to Waste of Money – Save Heat and Electricity! Young participants and their drawings inspired the contest organizers to hold a new contest – this time the animation and graphics contest.

Young artists up to 16 years and professionals from 17 years old can participate in the contest Turn On Your Brain. The awards will be given in two nominations – Best Graphic Project and Best Animation Project. The participants are free to create – they can present to the expert jury their drawings, pictures, comics, panels, short films, and cartoons.

The key topic is the necessity of rational use of electricity and heat. The works shall motivate both the rational and efficient use of resources and timely payment for these resources. According to the data of the Analytical Center of the Russian Government, as of January 01, 2014, in Russia total electricity debt was RUB 1,252 bln, and for heat – RUB 200 bln.

“We live in the era of the fast development of new technologies, when comfortable living without electricity or heating is even hard to imagine. It is extremely important not only to save energy, even denying oneself something necessary, but to ensure their rational and responsible use, - says Larisa Semenova, Head of PR Department of JSC TGC-1. — We hope that this contest will draw attention of our consumers to the necessity of rational energy use. Regular and timely payments of the public utility charges is a key to the stable electricity and heat deliveries to your household, and efficient way to save family budget”.
