St.Petersburg Power Plants of JSC TGC-1 are ready to heating season

On September 26, 2014, periodical heating in St.Petersburg will begin. Kindergartens, schools, medical clinics and social institutions will be connected to the nine power plants of TGC-1 located in St.Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast.

JSC TGC-1 performed a large scope of works for power plants preparation to 2014-2015 heating season.

The Company is completing the capital and medium repairs of the major and auxiliary equipment. Overhauls of turbine units of the the Avtovskaya, Vasileostrovskaya, Severnaya, and Yuzhnaya CHPPs are performed according to the schedule, medium repairs of gas turbine units at the Pervomayskaya CHPP have been completed, scheduled surveys and repairs of auxiliary and plant equipment – cooling towers, tanks and fuel oil reservoirs have been made.

“Within the preparation to the autumn-winter period, the Company’s specialists performed scheduled works for diagnostics and repair of the consumer’ heat supply systems, said Sergey Laputko, Chief Engineer of TGC-1, — Total capacity of the repaired facilities is about 600MW”.

TGC-1’s repair activities are aimed at providing reliable heat supplies to consumers, maintaining the present temperature mode in buildings and ecological environment improvement within the city.
