The best children works for the 60th Anniversary of the Niva HPPs Cascade announced in Kandalaksha
The participants of the drawing competition, organized by the Niva HPPs Cascade of JSC TGC-1 and the Center for Youth Social Development Harmony were awarded in Kandalaksha.
October 4th, 2014 marked 60 years since the six HPPs situated on the banks of the rivers Niva and Kovda have been united under the supervision of the Cascade. The works of the participants were devoted to this memorable date as well as to the matter of responsible electricity consumption.
The jury chose the winner among 40 entries. Yulia Vanichkina presented a picture of the Niva HPP-1, that children had visited in September. The second prize was shared between Kirill Gavrilov and Vasiliy Ivanov, who were inspired by the Knyazhegubskaya HPP. The third prize was awarded to the collaborative work of Evgeniya Aphonina and Ksenia Novozhilova.
“The HPPs of our Cascade are interesting and unique. We are always glad to organize many visits and educational events for children and grown-ups, citizens and visitors of the region,”- said Alexey Pichugin, Head of Operations of the Niva HPPs Cascade of JSC TGC-1.
