TGC-1 to become Petrozavodsk’s Single Heat Supplier since January 1

31 December 2014

On December 31, 2014, the City Court of Petrozavodsk confirmed that the approval of the heat supply scheme of Petrozavodsk till 2029 drawn up by Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnic University and the granting of the Single Heat Supplier status to TGC-1 had been done in line with all the applicable procedures.

Hence, a claim by JSC PKS that there had been a breach of law in Resolution No. 4786 of Petrozavodsk City District’s Administration dated September 25, 2014 was rejected.

This means that, starting from January 1, 2015, all heat consumers, including Petrozavodsk residents and businesses, will be charged for heat and hot water directly by the Petrozavodskaya CHPP of TGC-1.

Direct settlement will help utility service providers keep their debt to the heat supplier manageable and ensure maximum transparency of the settlement process. Collecting charges directly to the heat supplier’s account is crucial to maintaining equipment repair, diagnostics, modernisation and refurbishment schedules.

It is worth reminding that on December 1, 2014 the Petrozavodsk CHPP launched a hotline for city residents’ questions about direct heat and hot water bills.
