On 5 March 2015, as part of the weekly inspection of municipal public utilities and energy facilities, Vice Governor Igor Albin and heads of the committees supervised by him visited the Vasileostrovskaya CHPP of JSC TGC-1.

During the visit, they discussed the pressing issues of developing the plant and the supplied district, as well as a number of issues that are the responsibility of the Vice Governor.

“The Vasileostrovskaya CHPP is the only facility supplying electricity and heat to Vasilyevsky Island. This plant of great importance is involved in all our projects and is a strategic partner in solving major problems”, commented Igor Albin. He also instructed his subordinates to deal with the issue of land ownership relating to the on-shore pump station where the CHPP takes water to provide the entire island with hot water and heat. “Technologically speaking, the on-shore pump station is part of the Vasileostrovskaya CHPP”.

The delegation took a tour of one of the oldest combined heat and power plants in St. Petersburg, and visited the turbine hall and control panel of the Vasileostrovskaya CHPP. As a gift from the CHPP staff, Igor Albin received the memorial editions of “Posters in the Besieged Leningrad” and “Posters Depicting the Power Sector of Russia” issued with the support of JSC TGC-1.
