In the first quarter of 2015, JSC TGC-1 reduced significantly environmental emissions during production

Proceeding from results of the first quarter 2015, TGC-1’s environmental emissions reduced by 7.5% to the similar 2014 period, substances emissions into waters reduced by 33.8%. None of 54 power plants has shown excess of set environmental norms.

“We are making planned activities to reduce environmental impact of our premises. Approved programs and schedules are used as a basis for production environmental control and monitoring, regular monitoring of waters and water protection areas within HPPs reservoirs, said Valentina Litmanova, Head of TGC-1’s Environmental Service.

Improvement of the environmental security is one of key items of the TGC-1’s investment program implementation. In November 2014, overall modernization was completed at the Iovskaya HPP in the Murmansk region. Among environmental effects of the project was prevention of the turbine oil discharge into waters.
