Hydroelectric unit No.2 to undergo the overhaul at the Narvskaya HPP

The hydroelectric unit overhaul at the Narvskaya HPP of JSC TGC-1 in Leningrad Oblast has been accomplished.

During overhaul, the unit was completely disassembled, a turbine shaft and wicket gates of hydroelectric unit were repaired. Automated control system also underwent retrofitting, with heat and vibration control systems installed.

"The introduced measures will increase safe operation of power plant and will thus contribute to safe power supply to consumers. For almost 60 years of operation, the plant has undergone the overhaul only once", remarked Director at the Narvskaya HPP of JSC TGC-1 Oleg Medvedev. 

Repair and Maintenance Programme at JSC TGC-1 is aimed at ongoing equipment operation, improving efficient power plant operation and enhancing environmental and industrial safety.
