Two weeks to go till the end of submission of projects to the Real Energy Industry contest

August 15, 2015 is the last day for submission of journalists', bloggers', and photographers' projects to the Real Energy Industry contest.

The contest is focused on the region's energy system, generation facilities, and the employees in the energy industry from the Baltic to the Barents Sea: there are 54 power plants hiring seven thousand TGC-1 employees in four constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

— The contest included several press tours to TGC-1 HPPs and CHPPs, including a large "energy tour" from St. Petersburg to Murmansk. "In their publications, authors highlight the unique architecture and equipment of our power plants, admire natural landscapes, and certainly, welcoming energy engineers," comments Larisa Semenova, Head of the Public Relations Department at JSC TGC-1.

Judges of the Real Energy Industry contest:

— Sergey Baryshnikov, founder of BigPicture information and entertainment portal;

— Alexander Lyubarskiy, patron of Kommersant Photo, photo agency, permanent member of the jury at the International Photojournalism Festival held in Perpignan (France) since 2009;

— Valeriy Presnyakov, Editor-in-Chief of the Energy Sector and Industry in Russia newspaper;

— Alexander Popov, blogger (rusos) and photographer specialising in industrial photography;

— Vladimir Snyatkov, Radio of Russia reporter; and

— Alexey Vorobyev, Deputy Chief Engineer, TGC-1.

Any journalistic stories, articles, television and radio stories, interviews with power plant employees, documentaries, and vignettes at the Company's energy generation sites created in 2015 can be submitted to the contest. Winners will be determined in two nominations: Real Energy Industry and Real Facilities. Laureates will receive valuable prizes from organisers and partners of the contest.

Photographs will form a basis for a series of Real Energy Industry exhibitions to be held in September 2015 in St. Petersburg, Murmansk, and Petrozavodsk.
