JSC TGC-1’s Apatitskaya CHPP switches to winter operation mode

Apatitskaya CHPP, the single heat provider in Apatity and Kirovsk of Murmansk Oblast, switched to winter operation mode.

On September 14, 2015, the heating season has started in Apatity, on September 3, in Kirovsk. Since September 2, the experts of Apatitskaya CHPP have fine- tuned the intrasite heat supply system.

During summer, the program aimed at the heating season preparation was implemented at Apatitskaya CHPP: the main equipment was repaired, over 100 metres of the railroads and 500 metres of transit heat pipelines in Apatity were replaced, a boiler was overhauled.

 “We paid a special attention to the heat supply system flushing. This work was carried out in collaboration with JSC Khibinskaya Heat Company and management companies. When the heating season starts, it will take 40 days to stabilise the heat transfer fluid parameters. And we will control the hot water quality daily”, added Alexandr Sobakin, the Director of Apatitskaya CHPP.
