Overhaul of a hydro generating unit completed at JSC TGC-1 Paz HPPs Cascade

Overhaul repaid of the hydro generating unit No. 2 was completed at Khevoskoski HPP of TGC-1’s Paz HPPs Cascade. Power engineers provided renovation of the speed regulator and oil pressure unit.
— These works will ensure precise control of hydro generating unit speed and effective output, improve turbine control process in manual and transient modes during start, stop and load dropping, said Oleg Tyapinov, Deputy Chief Engineer of JSC TGC-1 Kolskiy Branch.
To improve hydro generating unit operating safety, elements of the thrust bearing were replaced, turbine and guiding unit bearings were repaired.
The power plant is located at the border of Russia and Finland and is used for electricity export.
