JSC TGC-1 continues its operation to engage talented youth and develop the young specialists potential

On February 17, 2016, the applied research conference “Staff – Foundation of Engineering and Power Industry” was held at the National Mineral Resources University in St.Petersburg.

The event was attended by representatives of St. Petersburg Committee for Energy and Engineering Support, leading profile universities and secondary specialized institutions, power companies and HR specialists. The experts discussed current trends of preparing the engineering and energy industry staff, employers’ plans and intentions of office applicants in the current economic environment, criteria of future job selection by students.

Victoria Plotnikova, Head of JSC TGC-1 Training Center told about JSC TGC-1 practices and actions to engage talented youth and develop young specialists.

– It is extremely important task for both educational institutions and enterprises to prepare highly-qualified power engineers. TGC-1 is continuously working on staff training and skills improvement. Cooperation with educational institutions is of great importance. Together, we mаy combine theory and practice, said Victoria Plotnikova. Every year TGC-1 arranges practical training for students, applied research conferences, competitions diploma projects and for young specialists of TGC-1. The power engineer should be interested in its work, understand prospects of his/her career growth, and realize its professional value and contribution.
