12 February 2016

On February 12, 2016, students of the Gorno-Altaisk State University visited JSC TGC-1 Pravoberezhnaya CHPP. The Hour of Power Industry at the CHPP was a part of six-day practical training for these students in St. Petersburg.

Power engineers made a tour for the young specialists around two power generating units of Pravoberezhnaya CHPP. During this visit, the guests had an opportunity to see the up-to-date equipment and technologies used by the CHPP. At the first steam generating unit, the CHPP’s personnel told about heat generation. At the 450MW CCGT unit of Pravoberezhnaya CHPP which was commissioned in November 2012, they discussed the gas turbine operation principles.

The visit continued at the CHPP control panel where the head of the shift has shown how to control the large enterprise from a single PC using the up-to-date automation systems. Personnel of Pravoberezhnaya CHPP were happy to answer all students’ questions.

– We would like to thank power engineers for this informative lecture. It was the first time for us to visit such a large power generating facility. We are surprised by the scale of production, here you really feel the importance of these enterprises for the city and its residents, said Anastasia Milizhenko, student of the Economic Geography Faculty of the Gorno-Altaisk State University.
