VI Children and Youth Competition for the Cup of the Kolskiy Branch of JSC TGC-1 completed

The final of the mass children and youth competition in the Polar Region – VI Children and Youth Competition for the Cup of the Kolskiy Branch of JSC TGC-1, was held in Apatity on April 14, 2016. Young men and women in four age groups from 16 cities and settlements of Murmansk Oblast took part in the race.

“There are no other competitions of such scale and length in the region.  The competition phases are carried out in different disciplines – mass start, relays, freestyle and classic style sprints. New cities and participants join the competition every year”, remarked Igor Ilyin, the Director of Competitions.

The final phase was held in the form of the team relay. The team of Apatity became the leader in team classification for the second year in a row. The sportsmen took the second place in the final standings from Kandalaksha and the third place – by skiers from Kovdor.
