Memorial sign commemorating Victory Day was installed at Apatitskaya CHPP

On May 5, 2016, JSC TGC-1 Apatitskaya CHPP held a function dedicated to unveiling of a memorial sign in memory of soldiers who were working at the plant after the Great Patriotic War.

The sign is made in the shape of a five-pointed star with voltage transformer that was used at the plant for 40 years. Names of 92 veterans who worked at Apatitskaya CHPP are inscribed on a memorial tablet.

"We remember the heroism of our colleagues that made an inestimable contribution not only to Victory, but also to reconstruction of the region in difficult the post-war years, construction and development of then Kirovsk GRES," remarked Alexander Sobakin, Director of Apatitskaya CHPP. "I am pleased to remark that the idea of the monument belongs to our young colleagues. It means that the memory will be passed on from generation to generation.

The sign carries a message "Remember and Be Proud!" that is addressed to CHPP employees who will be celebrating the centenary of Victory.
