Palokorgskaya HPP – 50 Years of Operation

50 years ago Palokorgskaya HPP, the Vyg HPPs Cascade of PJSC TGC-1 Karelskiy Branch, delivered the first electricity megawatts. Construction of this hydroelectric power plant contributed to the industrial development of the Republic, increased the capacity of the Vyg HPPs Cascade and general reliability of the power system of Karelia.

– PJSC TGC-1 performs scheduled upgrading of production processes and reconstruction of the main and auxiliary equipment in order to improve reliability and efficiency of its HPPs, – Vladimir Kruglov, the Head of Palokorgskaya HPP said. – In 2016 we replaced the protection coating of hydraulic units No. 1, 2 and 3, transformers and 110 kV power lines.

         All current repairs of equipment are duly performed as well.
