The Governor of the Leningrad Region visited Verkhne-Svirskaya HPP of PJSC TGC-1

On March 24, Alexander Drozdenko, the Governor of the Leningrad Region, made a working visit to Verkhne-Svirskaya HPP. The head of the region examined the bridge across the Svir river running through power plant.

Renovation perspectives of HHP hydraulic structures and construction of a separate bridge to connect the two shores were discussed at the meeting.

"Main task of Verkhne-Svirskaya HPP is a safe production of electricity and work of sluices. Meanwhile, the specialists raise serious concerns about the condition of road bed running through the plant.  Thus we are going to contact the country's government and ask to start the construction of bridge across the Svir river not in 2019 as it was scheduled but earlier," said Alexander Drozdenko, the Governor of the Leningrad Region.

Design and survey works related to restoration of bridge crossing at Verkhne-Svirskaya HPP are to be started in May of 2017. After reconstruction it shall perform its original function: service lane for the plant's needs
