Power specialists of PJSC TGC-1 discussed cooperation prospects with their Finnish colleagues from INERGIA OY

On March 13–14, 2017, representatives of PJSC TGC-1 and  Kolskoye RDU held a meeting with the Finnish partners from INERGIA OY company in Murmashi village of the Murmansk Region.

– This Russia-Finland cooperation concerns exporting electricity from the Paz HPPs Cascade to the border areas of Finland and servicing the power line that connects our countries, – Oleg Tyapinov, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Kolskiy Branch said.

The meeting participants shared experience in performing emergency response drills for dispatch personnel, discussed the ways to increase reliability of the power line, including the relay protection system upgrade and the planned equipment repair, and visited to Nizhne-Tulomskaya and Verkhne-Tulomskaya HPPs.

— The relations between the Murmansk Region and Lapland are an example of stable long-term international cooperation in the field of electric power engineering, — Oleg Tyapinov added.

The Paz HPPs Cascade of PJSC TGC-1, established in 1955, unites five hydroelectro power plants. The Cascade allows for electricity export to Norway and Finland. The Cascade's capacity makes 187.6 MW.

PJSC TGC-1 is the leading producer and supplier of electricity and heat in the Northwest of Russia. The Kolskiy Branch of PJSC TGC-1 includes 17 HPPs located in the Kola Peninsula, and the Apatitskaya CHPP.
