CHHPs of TGC-1 in St. Petersburg have switched to summer operating mode

Since 3 p.m., May 19, 2017 in accordance with the Decree of the Committee for Energy and Engineering of the Administration of St. Petersburg all TGC-1 heat power plants have switched to summer operating mode which means disconnecting heat from residential houses, social infrastructure and industrial facilities.

TGC-1 power plants in St. Petersburg have successfully completed the heating season. The company enters into the active phase of preparation for the next autumn-winter period. "This year, within the repair campaign at TGC-1 plants, 12 capital and medium repairs of the main equipment will be performed, as well as routine maintenance and diagnostics of the heat supply systems," Alexey Vorobyev, Chief Engineer of TGC-1, said.

For 226 days of the heating season 2016/2017 ten CHPPs of the company supplied 17.3 million Gcal of heat to consumers. Electricity output amounted to 9.7 million kWh.

In accordance with the Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation of May 6, 2011 No. 354, On the provision of public services to owners and users of premises in multi-apartment buildings and residential buildings, if the heat for the needs of heating of premises is supplied into the internal engineering systems via centralised networks of engineering and technical support, then the contractor starts and ends the heating period within the time frame established by the authorised body. The heating period must begin or end on the day following the last day of the 5-day period, during which the average daily outside air temperature is below 8 degrees Celsius or the average daily outside air temperature is above 8 degrees Celsius respectively.  

The respective authorised body in St. Petersburg is the City Administration.
