TGC-1 power specialists have completed the major repair at Avtovskaya CHPP

The major repair of hydraulic unit No. 3 has been completed at Avtovskaya CHPP. For a month and a half, the heating surfaces of the power boiler, burners, pipeline stop valves have been repaired, control and measuring equipment has been audited.

"Major repairs are aimed at restoration of operational life of equipment. For this purpose, generating units are audited and replaced, as well as the metal of major components is inspected. This will allow to improve reliability of the plant operation," said Anatoly Paseka, Director of Avtovskaya CHPP. 

Repair and Maintenance Programme of TGC-1 is aimed at providing safe and smooth equipment operation, improving efficient performance of power plants, raising environmental safety and reliability of power supply to consumers.

Avtovskaya CHPP is the largest power source in the Southwest of St. Petersburg. It provides electricity and heat to industrial enterprises, residential and public facilities of Admiralteisky, Moskovsky, Kirovsky and Krasnoselsky Districts of St. Petersburg. About one million citizens are located in the CHPP's heat supply zone.

TGC-1 is the major heat power supplier in St. Petersburg. Ten CHPPs located on the territory of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Oblast supply heat to the citizens and enterprises of the city. The company's share on the heat power market of St. Petersburg exceeds 50%.
