Environmental discussion supported by TGC-1 took place at Saint Petersburg State University

23 November 2017

On 23 November 2017, a panel discussion Environmental Communication as an Instrument of Strategic Cooperation, supported by TGC-1, took place at Saint Petersburg State University. The event was organised within the framework of the Year of Ecology with the involvement of the heads of PR departments of the leading extracting companies, scientists, and journalists.

"It is not quite popular to speak of environmental problems today, and this is one of the communication problems. Moreover, in this area, we need more real actions than conversations, as the environmental culture starts with a single person. Such meetings give PR experts an opportunity to exchange their experience, cooperate and create new trends," said Larisa Semenova, Head of Public Relations Department (PR) of TGC-1.

The participants of the panel discussion developed the initiatives to create a community of practice in order to unite business, local authorities, scientists, journalists and social organisations of St. Petersburg for the promotion of environmental communication.
