Overhaul of a hydroelectric generating unit completed at Serebryanskaya HPP-2 of TGC-1

Overhaul of hydroelectric generating unit No. 2 with capacity of 52 MW was completed at Serebryanskaya HPP-2 of TGC-1.

Works included repair of nodes of the distributor, turbine bearing, lower and upper generator bearings, axial bearing, generator stator and rotor, as well as anti-corrosion protection of intake screens on the hydroelectric generating unit. Replacement of an oil generator circuit breaker with more reliable gas-insulated one was performed as part of the renovation.

"Our actions were aimed at ensuring continuous operation of the hydroelectric power plant," explained Oleg Tyapinov, Deputy Chief Engineer of TGC-1 Kolsky Branch.

Serebryanskaya HPP-2 is a part of the Tuloma and Serebryanskiye HPPs Cascade of TGC-1. The plant's capacity is 156 MW.
