Gazprom Class opened in Gymnasium No. 426 with the support of TGC-1 and ETU "LETI"

Grand opening of Gazprom Class took place in the State budget educational institution Gymnasium No. 426 in St. Petersburg on September 1. Deputy Director for HR and Organisation Development, Head of HR Development Department at Gazprom Energoholding LLC Elena Rusina, HR Director of TGC-1 Sergey Varzayev, representatives of the Saint-Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI" and administration of Petrodvortsovy District were among special guests at the line-up dedicated to the Knowledge Day and opening of Gazprom Class.

23 tenth-graders became students of Gazprom Class. With the support of TGC-1 the classroom was equipped, information stands were installed providing data about the company's business activity and specialised training programmes in higher educational institutions.

The training plan under a specialised educational programme has been developed for two years of study (10th-11th grades), includes advanced training of technical subjects and makes the students focus on professions being in demand at TGC-1 and Gazprom Group.

The disciplines provide the first knowledge about the energy industry at the career guidance events and excursions, include studies at the laboratories of ETU "LETI", and development of research works under the guidance of the electrotechnical university professors.

The project in the State budget educational institution Gymnasium No. 426 is implemented in compliance with the Regulations on arrangement and functioning of specialised classes named Gazprom Classes approved by the decree of PJSC Gazprom. Implementation of this project is aimed at training a perspective talent pool for subsidiaries and entities of PJSC Gazprom comprised of those students, who are the most talented and motivated for successful professional self-fulfillment by means of improving the education quality and performing the targeted career guidance, as well as providing support in studies at schools and universities.
