Apatitskaya CHPP of TGC-1 switched to winter mode of operation

Apatitskaya CHPP of TGC-1 being the only heat supply source of the cities of Apatity and Kirovsk of Murmansk Oblast, switched to winter mode of operation.

In accordance with instructions of the municipal administrations, testing of the heat supply systems has started since 12 September 2018.

- A repair campaign was carried out in summer, including current repair of the boiler facility equipment, railway tracks, and main heat supply grids. In addition, the required fuel reserves were created, testing was performed in cooperation with the heating grid companies and managing companies, heat and hot water supply systems were commissioned and flushed - Alexander Sobakin, Director of Apatitskaya CHPP of TGC-1 noted.
