Renovation of a hydroelectric generating unit at TGC-1's Niva HPP-1 was completed

Renovation of hydroelectric generating unit No. 1 at TGC-1's Niva HPP-1 was completed.

As part of the work, a speed controller was replaced with a modern one, a turbine shaft vibration control system was installed and an oil pressure unit was renovated.

“Speed controllers are the most important control and management components of the hydroelectric generating unit, which allow for frequency primary control. The renovation will improve efficiency of the equipment," said Andrey Zharnikov, Director of the Niva HPPs Cascade of TGC-1.
