«ТГК-1» и СПбГУ открывают «Школу энергожурналистики и PR»
TGC-1 and Saint Petersburg State University are implementing the School of Energy Journalism and PR education project, which is the manifestation of their continuing long-lasting cooperation.
The joint project aims to contribute to the development of the new generation of general-purpose journalists, the PR and advertising experts who will be familiar with the energy sector, its ethics, the laws of critical communications and able to write as professionals on the most complicated specialised subjects in a range of different genres.
20 undergraduate and graduate students of higher educational institutions of St. Petersburg interested in the field of energy participate in the project.
Studies will take place at the School of Journalism and Mass Communications of Saint Petersburg State University from March to May 2019. The education programme includes lectures, workshops, practical trainings with case studies, homework, tours to the Company's facilities and a final team project.

TGC-1 is the leading producer and supplier of electricity and heat in the North-West of Russia. TGC-1 comprises 53 power plants within four constituent entities of the Russian Federation: St. Petersburg, the Republic of Karelia, and Leningrad and Murmansk Oblasts.
The School of Journalism and Mass Communications was created on the basis of the Department of Journalism of Saint Petersburg State University. It is Russia's leading centre in terms of the Journalism and Advertising and PR education programmes. More than 1,000 people, including numerous foreign students, receive the bachelor's, master's or doctoral degrees there. International and all-Russian scientific conferences are held regularly. A thesis committee for journalism (Philology and Politology) operates in the school.
