TGC-1 switches to the summer mode in Petrozavodsk and Pryazhinsky and Prionezhsky districts

From 14 May 2019, Petrozavodskaya CHPP of TGC-1 switched to the summer mode in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities and the Energy Industry of the Republic of Karelia.

Furthermore, the work of TGC-1's boiler facilities in Pryazhinsky and Prionezhsky districts was stopped before the start of the new heating season.

TGC-1 is a leading producer and supplier of electricity and heat in the North-West of Russia. TGC-1 comprises 53 power plants within four constituent entities of the Russian Federation: St. Petersburg, the Republic of Karelia, and Leningrad and Murmansk oblasts.

The Karelsky branch of TGC-1 includes 16 hydroelectric power plants, which form 3 HPPs cascades: Vyg, Suna and Kem, as well as Petrozavodskaya combined heat and power plant (CHPP). Hydropower potential of the region is developed in the basins of the rivers Suna, Vyg and Kem. Total capacity of TGC-1's plants in the Republic of Karelia: electricity — 833.7 MW, heat — 689 Gcal/h.
