The hydroelectric generating unit equipment will be completely replaced during the project of the step-by-step sweeping upgrade of the hydroelectric power plant.

"Under the upgrade project, the capacity of each hydroelectric generating unit will be increased by 8 MW with the preservation of the impeller type. Currently, works on installation of the new equipment and management systems of hydroelectric generating unit No. 4 are continuing. Upon completion of the work, the upgrade of the hydroelectric generating unit No. 1 will be started," noticed Vladimir Tsvetkov, the head of the capital construction project implementation department of TGC-1.

The main objectives of the project are out-of-date equipment replacement and increase of operating reliability with requirements to the HPP operation modes taken into consideration.
