Poduzhemslaya HPP (TGC-1): Overhaul Completed

24 MW hydroelectric unit #2 at Poduzhemskaya HPP has been completely overhauled by TGC-1 power engineers.

Wicket gates, oil header, center plate, and turbine shaft near the turbine bearing have been repaired. Besides, the works included replacement of the cooling system pipelines and valves, oil and air coolers, as well as further NDT of the wheel.

“This set of maintenance and additional works ensures the high reliability and safety of the turbine, hydroelectric generator and auxiliary equipment operation,” said Vladislav Pankratov, Chief Engineer, the Kem HPPs Cascade (TGC-1).

Poduzhemskaya HPP, Yushkozerskaya HPP, Putkinskaya HPP and Krivoporozhskaya HPP make part of the Kem HPPs Cascade. Poduzhemskaya HPP’s installed capacity is 48 MW.
