TGC-1 PJSC increases the reliability of the main equipment at the Petrozavodskaya CHPP

The power engineers of the Petrozavodskaya CHPP have completed the overhaul of boiler unit No. 3. The performed works allowed to increase the reliability of heat and electricity supply to residents, enterprises and organizations of the capital of Karelia.

During the overhaul, work was carried out to replace the gas-air duct blocks. The repair and cleaning of the boiler drum and internal drum devices with cyclones was carried out; the bearings of the traction mechanisms were refilled.

In addition, employees of the Petrozavodskaya CHPP carried out repairs of control and measuring devices and automation, as well as electrical equipment.

“The work carried out has made it possible to increase the reliability of the supply of electricity and heat to consumers. After the completion of complex acceptance tests, the boiler unit was put into operation,” said Vasily Karpov, Director of the Petrozavodskaya CHPP of TGC-1 PJSC.

The height of the boiler unit is 31 meters, the capacity is 420 tons of steam per hour.

The Petrozavodskaya CHPP provides more than 85% of residents and enterprises of the city with hot water and heat, and also supplies electricity to the unified network of the Northwest. The installed electric capacity of the plant is 280.0 MW, and 689.0 Gcal/h by heat.

The combined heat and power plant generates 1086.04 million kWh of electricity per year and sells 1,592. 63 thousand Gcal of thermal energy.
