TGC-1 PJSC increases the reliability of heat and electricity supply to residents, enterprises and organizations of Petrozavodsk

The power engineers of TGC-1 PJSC have completed the overhaul of turbine generator No. 1 at the Petrozavodskaya CHPP. This will extend the working life of the equipment and will increase the reliability of heat and electricity supply to residents, enterprises and organizations of the capital of Karelia.

During the overhaul, work was carried out on partial reclining of the stator and repair of its end terminals, threading of the exciter collector and threading and grinding of the contact rings of the generator rotor. The power engineers have also repaired the stator of the exciter, gas and air coolers, performed disassembly and installation of the binding rings of the generator rotor.

“The repair of the turbine generator is the key stage of the annual repair program of the Petrozavodskaya CHPP. In addition, current repairs of the main and auxiliary equipment are currently in full swing at the CHPP, which will minimize the risks of unscheduled outages in the upcoming autumn-winter heating period and increase the reliability of energy supply,” said Vasily Karpov, Director of the Petrozavodskaya CHPP of TGC-1 PJSC.

The Petrozavodskaya CHPP provides more than 85% of residents and enterprises of the city with hot water and heat, and also supplies electricity to the unified network of the Northwest. The installed electric capacity of the plant is 280.0 MW, and 689.0 Gcal/h by heat.

The combined heat and power plant generates 1086.04 million kWh of electricity per year and sells 1,592. 63 thousand Gcal of thermal energy.

The Petrozavodskaya CHPP is a part of the Karelsky Branch of TGC-1 PJSC.
