TGС-1 PJSC Enhances Reliability of Yushkozerskaya HPP

20 September 2021

TGC-1 engineers have completed the overhaul of hydroelectric unit No. 1 at the Yushkozerskaya HPP to enhance reliability of the electricity supply for residents of the Kaleval and Muyezersky districts.

The Yushkozerskaya HPP controls the flow of the Kem River all year round and enables the three downstream HPPs of the Cascade, i.e., the Putkinskaya, Poduzhemskaya and Krivoporozhskaya HPPs, to generate electricity.

During the overhaul of the hydroelectric unit at the Yushkozerskaya HPP, engineers completed repair of the turbine shaft, the working wheel and the guide vane, including replacement of related parts.

“The work has made it possible to enhance reliability of the electricity supply to consumers. When the comprehensive testing was over, the equipment at the Yushkozerskaya HPP was put into operation successfully,” said Vladislav Pankratov, Director of the Kem HPPs Cascade, TGC-1 PJSC.
