On May 26, 2016 according to the directive of the Murmansk Administration PJSC Murmanskaya CHPP — the city's largest heat supply plant of the city switched to summer operating mode.

On May 25, 2016 it has been 60 years since Rayakoski HPP of JSC TGC-1 was launched into operation. The hydroelectric power plant located in the settlement with the same name is in the most northern part of the world where the borders of three countries Russia, Finland and Norway, intercross.

On May 19, 2016 the employees of JSC TGC-1 planted the Norway maples in the historical center of Petrozavodsk opposite to the Museum of Fine Arts of Karelia and the Kantele House on Karl Marks Avenue. Young trees were grown in the nursery garden in St. Petersburg.

On May 20, 2016 it has been 10 years since the first power generating unit of Pravoberezhnaya CHPP was put into operation.

On May 19, 2016, a round table discussion, Non-payments in the power sector and investment programs implementation for energy enterprises, was held as part of the Russian International Energy Forum Edward Lisitskiy, Deputy General Director for Development of TGC-1, discussed the impact of debt for the supplied resources on heating grids modernisation, as well as the practical cooperation between power engineers and public officers, and communication with consumers

In the framework of the Russian International Energy Forum, the awardees and winners of competition of the science and technology development projects in the area of energy of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation have been awarded.

JSC TGC-1 releases unaudited interim consolidated Financial Statements for the 3 months period, ended March 31, 2016 prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

On May 5, 2016, pursuant to the decree of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Republic of Karelia No. 130 of May 4, 2016, JSC TGC-1 Petrozavodskaya CHPP, basic heat supply facility in Petrozavodsk, shifted to the summer operation mode.
