February 8, 2013 Yuzhnaya CHP marks its 35th anniversary. Today it is the most powerful combined heat and power plant of TGC-1 in St. Petersburg: it provides electricity and heat to Moscovsky, Frunzensky and Nevsky districts, including developing neighborhoods Kupchino and Ribatskoe. More than 900,000 people are warmed by energy of Yuzhnaya CHP.

TGC-1 has released its annual and fourth quarter production results from operations in 2012.

Kolsky Branch accepted a meeting of representatives from Russia, Norway and Finland on water resources of Lake Inari, which are used at border HPPs. Such events are held every year since 1959 and contribute to the rapid exchange of information between specialists of cross-border energy objects.

January 13, 2013 the ski racing children's and youth competitions for the Cup of Kolsky Branch started in Apatity. The first stage of the tournament was held as a mixed team sprint. Boys and girls in the command structure had to overcome 3 and 2 laps correspondingly of 400 m to 1 km depending on the age group. The winner of the first stage in the overall standings was the team of Kandalaksha - the constant leader of all the tournaments. The second place won the team of Apatity and the third — the Kovdor’s team.
